This was Jude's story and definitely my favorite of the two Sutter's Bay books I've read. Jude is a transplant from San Francisco where he witnessed his partner's murder. Under his different colored hair, make-up and his friendly shop owner facade lies a sweet man trying his best to make it from one day to the next. He doesn't think that he will ever find a love again after Martin until one day he takes a chance on Rex. Rex is Sutter's Bay's new, hot cowboy veterinarian. Rex is almost an opposite of Jude but the romance blooms despite Jude's constant doubts and fears. The story line ran smoothly and the HEA ending didn't leave the reader guessing the was Sweet Reunion did. I truly liked and cared about both Jude and Rex.
