it was amazing
bookshelves: bookclub, nonfiction, history

Really excellent book. This is the way I like nonfiction- engaging, heartfelt, and alternative to the standard opinion. Definitely worth a read, and I particularly liked the parts I thought I wouldn't- I wondered what Weatherford would be talking about for the huge portion post-Genghis Khan's death. Well, that's the "Making of the Modern World" part- incredibly informative and engaging. Also, a great quick analysis of the plague, which ended it all.

Brilliant!
