really liked it
bookshelves: biography, graphic-novel-comic, novel, post-2000, young-adult-book

I had seen the film, but hadn't looked at the graphic novel until over Thanksgiving break. The story is about an adult speaking of her life during the Islamic Revolution. Her story is harrowing and dangerous, but covers topics that are both historical and fascinating. I can't imagine reading this until high school, just because it would be hard to understand the political situation that Satrapi is in. For ages 15 and up.
