4.5. Meet Lucky, Kate and sad sack Clint. Is there really any greater issue 1 than this run? Most issue 1s I've read lately tease at a plot, but this was a self-contatined story that set the tone for the run so perfectly. The seeds of everything that happened are all here - Lucky, Penny, the bros, Madam Masque - though in a much choppier way than I remembered. The chase scenes are great, the fight scenes are great, the humor is incredible, it's all just awesome. I'm not such a fan of Pulido's art, at least compared to Aja or Wu, so the Madripoor issues weren't my favorite. Though I did appreciate little nods and clues in the art - like items around Kate's hotel room that show she's the one Clint stole the cab from at the airport.
