it was amazing

My favorite thing about Jennifer Lane’s books is the characterization. She creates such warm, likable, real characters. Every chapter I look forward to seeing what they’re up to. It’s especially exciting when one of the leads is the president’s son! In this story, the lead characters come a long way. One learns tolerance while the other learns acceptance. The author’s background in psychology adds so much depth to their growth in a highly believable way. It was also fun to get to “play” with Lucia and Dane again.

Just like with Blocked, Aced isn’t afraid to press political and social hot buttons—and it does so in a way that respects both sides of the issue. But none of this overpowers the romance. In Aced, the love story is between two people you’d never think would come together, but by the end you can’t imagine them apart. The sizzle factor gets turned up a few notches from what we saw in Blocked…definitely worth the wait.
