Rosa Cline's Reviews > Coming Home
The idea behind this story was a good one, especially for all the solders children that we have now. But the story just didn't do 'it'...the illustrations more than the actual words. It's not bad, but just didn't bring emotion or what I think it should have to me. This story would be great for a small toddler trying to understand about his Mom or Dad coming back from being gone serving our country. The little boy is at the airport and sees all the people waiting on the plane. then everyone finding the solder they were waiting for except him...will he ever find the one he's looking for? This book has only one to three words per page and some pages doesn't have words at all.
