did not like it

I have to say this is one of my least favorite books. I found The Minister’s Daughter somewhat challenging to read. With the structure of the book transitioning between the confession of Patience Madden, one of the Minister’s daughters, and dated chapters in third person, I never could get a grasp on what was happening in the story. Thankfully, the second half of the book became somewhat of a page turner and the storyline began to make sense. Before reading this book, I would suggest one have background knowledge of the witch trials of the 1600’s and understand the meaning of such words as Merrybegot and piskies.
