I learned from this book, since I really didn't know the origins of the KKK. It was well-done and clearly presented, but not really to my taste. Glad I read it, however.

Mrs. Doglvrs Did you read this for a book club?

No, I read it because it is by a noted writer of YA nonfiction, and seems likely to get the nonfiction award next month and I was curious about it.

Mrs. Doglvrs It sounds intriguing... might have to add it to my list.

I was too, given Bartoletti's reputation and the reviews and her past work. We were thinking of getting her as our visiting author this year, too (but now we're getting James Deem instead).
