liked it

I liked this book, but not nearly as much as Angels and Demons or The DaVinci Code. I found parts of it to drag a bit and I thought it should have ended about 50 pages before it did. It seemed like there was a lot of factoids that Dan Brown wanted to share with his readers that just didn't fit cleanly in the plot, so he added them to the last 50 pages and made it almost like a lecture at the end. I did find the references to DC fascinating and it made me want to visit there and see a lot of the places discussed. As always, the plot is far-fetched, so if you're someone who likes realism, this isn't for you. But, that should not be surprising as all of Dan Brown's books have a requirement for suspending reality.

Overall, I thought the book would have been better if it was about 100 pages shorter. Take out the end and a few places in the middle where it dragged a bit and I would have given it four or five stars!

100% "The last 50 pages of this book are killing me. There is little action and it seems like the author had so much information about masons and Christianity that he didn't fit earlier in the book that he is just making the last 50 pages a laundry list of facts and interesting tidbits about it. I just feel like the book should have ended about 50 pages back."

Dawn Mateo that was a great book! Loved it!

Sue I am definitely liking it so far. I loved Angels and Demons and DaVinci Code, but hated Digital Fortress (I think that was the name...his internet one) - didn't even finish reading it. So, I was happy to see another in this series! Everyone I've talked to so far has liked it, but said the ending is a bit cheesy...but, I expect no less! :)

Dawn Mateo It was a very fast read for me. I enjoyed all of his books. have you read Deception Point? That one was pretty good too.
