really liked it

One of the greats in 20th century science fiction, Le Guin's "Hanish Novels" -- a compilation of three novels -- stand alone better than they come together. The best is the third novel in the compilation -- "City of Illusions." This is a classic in that Le Guin creates a story in a unique setting that nevertheless presents the archetypal theme of one man's struggle to overcome the odds and achieve victory not only for himself but for mankind.
