it was amazing
bookshelves: experimentally-borrowed, favourites

This is the first book I'd recommend to anyone, even though it isn't my favourite. The entire thing is really deliciously clever.

The numerous puzzles are hard enough such that they don't give the feel of a young children's book the way others tend to. In fact, I didn't work a single thing out--the main character always did so before me.
