Three stars does mean that I liked it, but not extraordinarily. It did get me more interested in the southern part of France and the whole process of olive farming, but in some ways it was off-putting.

I "read" this book as an audiobook. It was read aloud by the author herself, an actress by trade, mostly known for her role as the wife of the veterinarian in serialized BBC version of "All Creatures Great and Small." In general I like audiobooks read by their own authors, but this one was overly dramatic.

I don't have time to write more just now, but I will try to later. I would like to mention that the version I read was titled, The Olive Farm: A Love Story.
