Einstein's Universe

I don't know how to describe this mind boggling account of Einstein's theory of gravity. This journey sharpens your senses of the world around you . Although I had to scratches my head over few concepts many times, I will say that this is a relatively ( pun intended ☺) easy to understand description of general and special theory of relativity.
In a nutshell, the book explains how one special feature of the cosmos (The speed of light) has a grib on all operations of every atom, star and quasar. It is truly fascinating to understand how gravity affects time, and how motion (particularly acceleration) affects time.
I guess after all the mild headaches I suffered trying to undestand aspects of special relativity seem such a small price to pay.
In my opinion, the greatest mystery of relativity is that how ONE man could have possibly summoned so much ingenuity and intuition to formulate such deep deep aspects of space-time continuum. Unlike quantum theory, which was the result of 3 decades of work of a number of distinguished physicists, Theory of Relativity remains the brainchild of one man only and that in itself is truly mesmerising . Not only that but also to see how every step of the past 100 years of scientific advancement proved Einstein right. What a genius!
