Linda Barker does a nice job of introducing her readership to many different wall treatments. She covers paint finishes, wallpaper, fabric, tiling, paneling and even shows a few creative options of how to decorate with pictures, mirrors, postcards, handbags, etc. The main focus of the book is, however, on paint techniques/applications and the use of wallpaper. The many gorgeous pictures provide great inspiration and the how-to descriptions are detailed enough to enable the reader to try Linda's techniques on his or her own four walls. This said, it would have been great if she had offered more examples of wall finishes in fabric, tiling, and paneling. Thus only 4 and not 5 stars.
