really liked it

This tractor is pretty cute in an odd sort of way. I really, really like the illustrations. They make me wish I could be more creative.
The story itself is quite simple, Otis, the tractor bonds with a calf and the the pair are unseperable. One day a new, fancy tractor arrived and Otis was hung out to dry.
The poor little calk missed Otis terribly, he missed him because Otis was so saddened by the new tractors arrival and his being forced out that he just sat there, day in and day out, doing nothing, never moving.
Then the day comes when the calf finds himself in some big trouble and when all else fails, Otis comes to the rescue.
The part that I liked best was the 'how'. How Otis manages to get the calf out. Instead of pulling him out himself, Otis helps the calf help himself. (Great conversation starter right there! And not the first in the book.)
Everything ends up happily-ever-after in the end for everyone, just as it should with a story like this.
