it was amazing
bookshelves: heartwarming

I really love this book. Set in the early 1900's a young girl is faced with the prospect of caring for her ailing mother and her younger brothers and sisters. While working at her secretarial job, she must deal with having to find a home because their house is being torn down to make way for new construction. This is just a very easy to read, sit back and relax book. You don't have to think to deeply, just enjoy the words and a delightful stroll through a different time and place. Books about people overcoming adversity and coming out on top always make me very happy! I've read this book at least 5 times and enjoy it every time.
