A book that makes you really realize why students cut. That they are so much in pain, or can't verbalized what they are feeling. They are embarassed about doing this.

If you have/know of cutters in your school, this is a great eye opener to start you off. The book ends with hope. If you really want help, you can get it. The key is that the person has to want the help.

On a deeper more disturbing level, Bait, by Alex Sanchez is a good read on self injury from a male perspective.
