really liked it

It would be too simplistic to say this was a "Prodigal Son" themed book. It echoes that parable and so much more. Robinson masterfully evokes powerfully emotional family dynamics and interactions...yet with a tender, nuanced touch. It caused me to think about what "Home" means as well as family and fatherhood and God's grace. There were wonderful quotes; like when the ailing, aged father (a retired pastor) laments "Jesus never had to grow old." Superb narration on this audio version by Maggi-Meg Reed. I enjoyed the book.
