really liked it

This is the 2nd memoir I have read about growing up in Amherst, NY- the first being Buffalo Gal by Laura Pedersen- as I too grew up here I really love these books. I can relate to sites and references to things that I remeber some 30 years ago- that no longer exist- Four Seasons restaurants where we could hang out and drink coffee and SMOKE, Junior High swimming in school provided swimwear, Ted's, driving around in my girl friend's Impala- but I digress... It was a wonderful memoir and anyone reading it could enjoy it. It didn't have too many isms that made it unique to this part of the country, just enough to make you smile..A true coming of age book.
