really liked it
bookshelves: trilogy

This book is what I'm looking for in paranormal books/series: an interesting, new twist on an overused genre, likeable protagonists, a gripping plot with enough action to keep me on the edge of my seat, no stupid/pointless love triangle, romance with just the right amount of tension (and no stupid choices made because they were in luuurve), an engaging writing style, and no huge cliffhanger purposely made for you to wait forever for the next book to come out.

I can't give the book five stars because it was still lacking something. You know, a certain something that makes the book so amazing that you want to reread it over and over again. Nevertheless, the book was enjoyable enough for me to anticipate its sequel.
