I’m a pretty big fan of Neil Gaiman's writing, but I’m not a huge fan of the short story format. I like a good story that goes on for a while which is why I couldn’t give the book a higher rating than a 3. The stories themselves where interesting and my favourite by far was the very last one called “The Monarch of the Glen” which funny enough was also the longest by approximately 54 pages. I just find that by the time I’m really interested the stories are over and I’m left wanting more. So in a sense a book of short stories is almost like a form of torture for me ;op

Neil Gaiman has a wonderful imagination though and all the stories are interesting in their own right. There are also some very wonderful poems included in this book, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes Neil Gagman or short stories based in fantasy.
