really liked it
bookshelves: to-read, adult-literature, realistic-fiction

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book about Ave Maria Mulligan, a 35 year old pharmacist spinster, who lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Ave Maria's mother has just passed away, and Ave finds out a piece of information that will change her life and worldview forever. Ave claims to be happy being single, working a job that she enjoys, and leading the life that she has lead for years, but several men open her eyes to possibilities she never dreamed of, and the life that she thought she would lead takes several new, exciting and different turns for her. Trigiani does a fabulous job with characterization leading me to enjoy Ave so much I have gone out and bought book #2 in the series.
