In the town of Snapfinger, Mississippi, the events of daily life are welcomed with great joy, sadness and anticipation. It is no wonder the characters in this heart-swelling book are named Comfort, Joy, Merry, Tidings, Bunch, Declaration, Peach and Dismay. Comfort Snowberger and her best friend, Declaration Johnson must come to terms with life and death, happiness and sorrow. Comfort knows all about death, or so she thinks, because her family owns the town funeral home. But, death and the celebration of life takes on a new meaning as the Snowberger family deals with the very own personal tragedies and joys of Southern life. Comfort learns about acceptance, forgiveness and the true meaning of family and friendship.
