This is my third Arnaldue Indridson book. The main character, Erlender, is a lot like Wallender in the Mankell books. On top of his glum character we also have a murder that is outrageous. Interesting cultural backdrop of the immigrant problem in Iceland. The immigrants are often South Asian and a good proportion come as mail order brides. The Icelanders who bring in the women will tire of the bride, divorce her and go for another. Not a great plot but a good read if you like exotic settings for your mysteries.
