it was ok
bookshelves: didn-t-finish, books-read-in-2010

Interesting story, but Edwards is the master of too much backstory and digression. Chapters on the supposed "current" setting are short, and chapters on the MC's childhood are meandering and long. Plus I feel like the book is puking culture. I'm enjoying it to a degree, but it keeps coming back to the annoying bits.

NOTE: Unfortunately, I got about halfway through, and simply didn't want to read about Klaus or Frank Burden anymore and put it aside. Could have been an interesting story if the author stuck to it.
