it was amazing

I can only imagine how this excellent book came to be. I assume there was a conversation that went something like this:

Someone: "Howcome there ain't no elves on the Discworld? Everyone else has elves, and they're beautiful and majestic and... beautiful."

Pratchett: "Oh, you want elves, do you? I'll give you some elves. I'll bloody well tell you what I think about bloody elves."

I like his response.
