really liked it
bookshelves: fantasy, audio-book, young-adult-fiction

I listened to this book and it was read quite well for young adult readers. I like the Kane Chronicles even more than Percy Jackson for two reasons. I like the brother/sister duo of Carter and Sadie Kane. Also, I am less familiar with the mythology of Ancient Egypt, so I felt I learned more from the Kane Chronicles. My only complaint is that Riordan tries to make his female characters a little too strong and the boys end up looking like wimps. Don't get me wrong, I love a strong female character, but I was really feeling sorry for Carter at some points. I look forward to more of Carter and Sadie Kane.
