did not like it

I couldnt finish this book i'm afraid. I have read five or six now in the Alan Banks series and mostly enjoyed reading them but now Banks is becoming tiresome.
What annoys me most is he always solves his crime and ties up every loose end as well. Where's the human error? He has human error in his home life, what about work? Why not go off and get it wrong once in a while? Cabbot is becoming the same as Banks too, the old coppers insinct that something isnt right is wearng a bit thin in these novels. As for Banks's new love interest, perfect in every way, there isnt anyone i've ever met in my life that i have thought that about, its hard to believe a chief inspector would too!
