Another servicable movie adaptation from Alan Dean Foster. The major saving grace of the story is that it includes the background and storyline sequences that were deleted from the original theatrical print (but restored for DVD; they were the subplot with Paul McGann's character, and the opening crash of the EEV). Not a bad book by any means, but you can tell Foster's kind of phoning these in for the paycheck.
