My next book, continuing my quest to misunderstand nuclear physics. Word of the day mamihlapinatapai. Meaning "looking at each other hoping that either will offer to do something that both parties desire but are unwilling to do."

Terence "Mamihlapinatapai" - What a marvelous word! What language is that from? If we could Anglicize it a bit so it's not such a mouthful for the Anglophone tongue, I think it should become part of the lexicon :-)

I'm also thinking it's a good name for a novel or a collection of short stories that revolve around its meaning.

Valerie I agree, that would be a wonderful collection of stories. You should write it.
