The Winds of War (The Henry Family, #1)
More soap-operaish than I remembered. But I like ol' Captain Pug. Having read a lot of this stuff in the last 30 years, the history in the story is till compelling, as is the sense of duty and honor. It's a bit Zelig, putting Pug at big scenes, but I now actually believe it more.
