The virus spreads well beyond Manhattan. The Master grows in strength before invading a new body. The valiant band of warriors looses members. Zack's mother, turned into a vampire at the end of volume one, manages to turn her son, still human, over to the Master. Thus ends volume 2. Bring on volume 3 in 2011 with the movie not far behind. (All sounds like an allegory based on the nation's current political arena where the strain or virus is the Tea Party, the band of warriors is the Democratic Party, the Master is Glen Beck and Sarah Palin is Zack's mom.) Oh, how will it all end? Will Ephraim Goodweather (Obama) save the world? Or will the virus take us all, every last one?
