Almost a Red Dawn story in Australia. I think the plot was excellent, but the story was really boring. It is a young adult book, and was full of pointless discussion of..of... nothing. I was hoping for a bit more action.

The only action they did was blowing up a lawn mower and a gas truck by setting fire to the gas tanks. In reality if one was to do such, they would find that only the surface of the gasoline ignites. One can easily approach the fire and put a lid on it and starve it of oxygen. But in the book they blow up a bridge.

I don't think I will read the rest of the series, too many other books to read. But I do hope to see the movie.
