Miriam Thanks for mentioning Reeves' other series -- I had been undecided about trying it, but definitely will now that I know the characters aren't as flat!

Robert But the narrator has a dim view of her; it's an inaccurate view, though, and the reader can't avoid noticing. The narrator is a dimwit regarding his sister (among other things). That is deliberate and makes perfect sense!

Suna Miriam, I can heartily recommend the Mortal Engines Series, it's truly excellent because of the characters.
Robert, I just wasn't convinced that it was deliberate at the time and even if it was, it was just a little bit too stilted for my taste.

Miriam Good to hear! Would you start with Mortal Engines or Fever Crumb?

Robert Mortal Engines, in my view.

Suna Definitely Mortal Engines.

Miriam Thanks. Will do.
