it was amazing

Bravo! What a spectacular story in every sense of the word - as dramatic and as breathtaking as the setting of Positano, on Italy's Amalfi Coast. Rowena Holloway has such a fresh and engaging voice. Her first person narration sweeps you along as the lead character - the feisty and flawed Harrie/Harriette gets herself in and out of all sorts of situations. There is nothing negative to say about this novel. It has action, drama, family relationships, a little bit of hunky Italian flirtation. The balance is brilliant, even though this is not something I would normally read - genre-wise. The trailer I saw alerted me to the story. Who can resist a murder mystery set around the Blue Grotta/Capri/Positano area? The characterisation is so well done I found myself reading in accents! Faultless plot. (Not an easy thing to do well with a complex murder/mystery, as this story is.) I read this book over two days (I had to eat and sleep). Totally hooked. Bravo again, Rowena.
