it was amazing
bookshelves: kindle, short-stories, favorites

His audiobooks are always a great treat but this is my first time actually reading one myself and I loved it. The bear story in particular left me stunned, a fantastically eerie fable.

Not for the first time, in my reading choices was it a bad review that really drew me to a book, an extract from this one star review from Cathy on Goodreads...

Wow, this book is incredibly disturbing! Instead of Sedaris's usual personal essays, here are dark, dark fables starring talking animals, each story brimming with all the horrible things people say and do to each other

Seems to be a love it or hate it kinda book, though with people loving it or hating it for the same reasons, which I find very amusing.

Only quibble is this book ended way too soon for my liking, I would have loved a lot more stories.
