Widow's walk is a very well written story concerning the clash of a deeply pious life of service and self negation with the notion of self-liberation and life fullfillment. Mary Flanagan's character is a treasure and one that will not be forgotten.
The novel is full of hope and despair. I found the beginning and the ending to be especially intriguing.
Recommended.
