Who knew that Jaz and Vayl had all the answers to Iran's problems - Demons!

This, the 3rd book in the series is set wholly within Tehran, with a few side trips to hell for Jaz.

Jaz & Vayl and the team are sent in to find a mole in David's team and assassinate the target, The Wizard. David does not know she is coming and his team is stunned to learn that not only is she his sister, but also his twin.

But it is all a set up by The Wizard, and Jaz must find a way to find him, stop being sent to hell when she sleeps, stop Vayl turning a woman seer into a vampire, kill lots of Reavers and hopefully kill a demon named The Magistrate. All by herself. Oh and her father is in critical condition following a motorcyle accident.

Vayl is completely sideswiped by the woman Zarsa, who is a Seer. She has promised Vayl he will meet his reincarnated sons if he turns her into a vampire, and he is obsessed enough to do it.

Jaz takes strong tactics to snap Vayl out of it. It is only following Jaz admitting to meeting other others that he gets jealous and decides his plan is flawed.

I felt that this book just lacked something, not sure exactly what. Once again Bergstrom and his inventions were great, he even fleshed out a bit more. Maybe it was Vayl, he seemed ineffectual for most of the book, and never got going even after he'd snapped out of it.

Regardless it was a good story.
