I love any book with a legal setting in general, but Judge vs Nuts was especially interesting. Slightly quirky and very original, it's no conventional tale and it's a fun, exciting dive into the legal profession that the average layman can get engaged with, but that people familiar with the law can really enjoy, too. With a great balance of mystery and comedy and a main character who's easy to relate to and follow, this book has a vivid plot, evocative dialogue and isn't afraid to divulge from the norm and stand on its own two feet away from more trope-filled novels in the legal genre. I've never been to Chicago (Illinois is one of few US states I've never had the privilege to see) but the author brings it to life in a way so powerful that it's totally unforgettable. Judge vs Nuts is full of witty observations and clever one-liners to keep it on a roll, and I loved how well it manages to make its subject matter stand out as intriguing and important.
