Shanti YES YES YES I felt the same way with this book! There are so many amazing things about Pakistan (from what I know; I've never been there, but North India is pretty similar) And that wasn't really shown in this novel at all. And her next book is going to be about child labour... what I really want is a 'little blue envelopes' style novel in India/Pakistan/Bangladesh, because these sort of stories promote misconceptions. USOM Me too! I just finished this last night and I was left so so sad and a bit confused.

USOM I don't know too much about that culture, or how it is in the more remote areas, but as I was reading this, it just made me feel so much more upset. And is it also wrong that I never would have predicted that ending?
