it was amazing

This book is part memoir, part essay collection, part poetry anthology, and entirely a love letter from one sister to another. It is relatable, accessible, and altogether inspiring. From one complicated sisterly relationship stemmed a life's calling and unparalleled gratitude. Moreno approaches each moment of her life with thought provoking wisdom, a touch of self-critique, and always empathy. As a woman with siblings who do not struggle with autism, I still saw myself in every moment of sisterly frustration, tortured helplessness, and over-protective love. I recommend this to anyone interested in helping those with special needs, but also to those who may have someone in their life who struggle with this diagnosis. If nothing else, know that Jaqueline Moreno hears you and wants to put a voice to your story.
