really liked it
bookshelves: book-club

A love story wrapped up with some historical fiction on Seattle's Japanese and Chinese community through WWII including the internment of the Japanese. About family, racial tensions, friendship, love, and the war on the homefront. Lots of good stuff. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Gives you a very strong sense of place too.

Nancy I hope it will be a good book club discussion, it should be. But when I talked to Gene earlier she was not thrilled with it. Maybe she didn't like the love story aspect, not sure.
