did not like it
bookshelves: mystery

I extremely disliked this book. I had read the first three and had made allowances for the typos that grew more numerous as the books progressed. However, I ended up tossing the last book without even finishing it. There were numerous typos on the first pages including identifying "Lauren Bacall" as "Lauren Becell". I also grew tired of the author's lazy stereotyping throughout the series of anyone who wasn't the trim, supposedly kick-ass protagonist. Anyone who the character identified as fat generally was identified by negative characteristics including uncomplimentary descriptions of their size, grooming or dress sense. For a character who spent a lot of time complaining about how people treated her during her search for her brother's killer, the main character had very little empathy for anyone else who was not her.
