I think I prefer selected collections of O. Henry's short stories - that is where you get all of the best stories! This book was still very enjoyable. This simile struck me when I read it, so I thought I would post it in my review!

“…his white whiskers trickled down from his chin like milk coming out of a sprinkling-pot.”

Kevin Neilson He must like milk similes: "...her eyes were as soft and bright as two quarts of cream skimmed off from the Milky Way."
