** spoiler alert ** This had me intrigued for the most part, although it leans heavily on one of his usual plotlines about falling deeply in love with someone who seems too good to be true only to find out that they're a pathological liar and/or mentally unstable. There's no supernatural element this time, just a fairly uninspiring shodunnit with the obligatory last-minute confession and full explanation from the guilty party. Still, the characters and observations kept it lively.
