The cover blurb is not really what the book is about and is misleading, and I spent some time trying to reconcile the blurb with where the story was going. It doesn't help that the narrative leaps around in time, and then even when a heading says "Now," it starts with a flashback. I also had to regularly flip back and forth because I thought I'd missed something. The story line is fragmented and disjointed, but so is the main character, Romy, who is broken. . . just like the story line. The author does a good job of making readers feel rage, but it's not always for the injustices Romy has had to deal with. . .. I have to let this one percolate a while, but my initial impression is that the book was good, but it could have been great.
