really liked it
bookshelves: fiction, humour
Read from October 01 to 02, 2010

The mobile library visits Buckingham Palace and, out of politeness, the queen checks out a book. And so begins a love of reading that threatens to overshadow all her monarchial duties. I wasn't expecting to love this as much as I did. It's very witty with something to say about reading and readers, the monarchy, government and society as a whole. I felt myself nodding along when Elizabeth finds a new author that she loves and I would hope that a book like this would inspire others to discover the joy of books.
