Read from January 04 to 05, 2011

The 4th book in the Casteel series. In this book, Heaven, Logan and their daughter Annie are living in Winnerrow. Annie and her half brother Luke have a close bond and even share the same birthday.

After attending Fannie's birthday party, Logan, driving drunk, crashes and he and Heaven are killed, leaving Annie alone and paralyzed. Drake, the son Heaven paid Fannie for in book 3 is now grown and in college. Because of Luke and Annie's fascination with Farthy, Drake visits and then decides after the accident that this would be the perfect place for Annie to heal.

After Annie moves to Boston with Tony and a nurse, she soon finds herself a prisoner in this old house that's not the castle of her dreams. Again, a stranger is seen lurking about the cemetery and the maze. Of course it's Troy and again Annie is draw to this mysterious person.

More of the same from the first 3 books. Not one of my favorites of the Casteel series. Even though those had hardships and trials to bear, this one just seemed heavier on the tragedy side instead of the romance that VC Andrews tends to blend into her stories.
