it was amazing
bookshelves: read-in-2010

For some reason the dystopian novels weren't my focus of attention, everytime I had one of my hands for example, the hunger games, I never up my mind to read it then I read the description of the novel and when I read the description of the book and I remember the exacts words I read "is Romeo & Juliet meets 1982" and if they dare to compare with Romeo & Juliet I knew I had to read it.

When I was done reading it, I couldn't help but cry, not becauses the ending (well a little bit) but because when you are done witht he book is almost as you have live everything Lena has lived through and the emotions that stirred within me were wow, it really took my breath away aside from Chasing Brooklyn this book was my best read of 2010 (I read the ARC through international book tours).

Lauren Oliver does an awesome job telling the story, at first I have to admit that I was very frustated with Lena for the fact that she was so uptight, wasn't ready to take a risk or do something to feel alive but then the more I read the more I understood life without love and without any kind of joy was the only one she knew after everything that happened with her mother and the fact that she rejected the procedure. It was natural for Lena to be afraid of living her live, falling in love and being as equal as her mother. Then she meets Alex and the dull world she knew was over and she got the illness she must feared, she falls in love.

It was one of the must thrilling read I had in the year, it was passionate, mesmerizing, VERY romantic and I was almost at the edge of my sit when I was reading because I wanted to know what was going to happen next. Even though it had a very bittersweet ending is what necessary because is not the end of the story is just the beginning and I personally can't wait for Pandemonium.

Please put this on your MUST READ for 2011 books to read because I can guarantee you that would also be suffering of Deliria because you would completely fall in love with this book
