Set in suburbia outside Atlanta, an area I lived in for several years, I could totally relate to the two main characters, Vivian & Melanie. Vivi, an investigative journalist working in NYC gets shot in the butt while investigating a story, loses her job, and discovers she's pregnant. She heads down to Georgia to reconnect with her widowed sister, Melanie, and write a column on suburban life anonymously. I really enjoyed the two main characters and the course of their relationship throughout the story. However, the book was told in 4 different POVs, 2 of which I couldn't not connect with. They seemed extraneous to the plot and slowed the story significantly, in my opinion.

But if you enjoy stories of female bonding, sisterhood, or even fish-out-of-water tales, you may really like this one.
